Though silent, I have not seized working on JF. I’ve done some small updates (adding sounds and some other small tweaks that most likely will go unoticed) and other stuff to the mod. I’ve also done a lot of work on the In Country campaign, mainly on the last mission. It is almost finished and should be released for beta testing soon enough. I also have some other missions planned for release (mainly old ‘Nam missions that have been popular, either made by yours truely or my mates for NP2) and they will be combined, along with the campaign once it has been tested, into a mission release.

I’ve been rather busy lately with the arrival of new exchange students to my University, but all is winding down a bit now and I’ve been able to return to my daily routines. This also means that work on missions and addons has been kicked up again.

I had an excellent idea (at least I think so) the other day when having pizza at a local pizzeria. I once started a mission with STT’s old desert island but never released it. The idea we nice and I liked it and thus I decided to try and find some time to remake it. For OFP. If not, I’ll see about finding some time to make it for Armed Assault, since I still don’t own Armed Assault 2. That and the fact that it does not have desert islands, yet at least. The addon in the making for Armed Assault 2 should bring some well needed desert warfare. Looking forward to it.

In Country campaign for Jungle Fever is on the run again and being updated. I’m currently on the last mission of the campaign and after it has been finished, only testing remains. It will take a while still since I have much to do. Unsung addons I have not totally abandoned and my LRP’s for the mod (AA only at the moment but they will be ported to Armed Assault 2 once I get the game) are coming along nicely. Still a lot of work ahead regarding those units, but we’re getting there.

After a long release pause from my end, I have, a while ago though, released a small update to Jungle Fever. This update has been in the making for sometime now and it is mostly a cosmetic update. This means that textures and sounds are the ones mostly changed. I have also started to update the In Country campaign, which I intend to release to the public (probably in the OFPEC beta testing area, to get some beta testing done for it) once I have finished with the updates.

A few new missions are planned for it, and one mission has been replaced with a totally new one. This was mandatory, as the mission which was replaced siezed to work. No idea what happened, but I think it was one of the classic OFP bugs that rarely happen. Has happened to me once before, many years ago when I first got into mission making.
